Stone, fire, and garden — built to last a generation.
Whittaker Worx is a craftsmanship-led design-build studio creating outdoor living spaces that become an extension of your home. Designed by Chad Whittaker, built by our in-house team.
Selected Work
A few of our favorite places.
Every project is one of a kind, but the principles are the same: durable materials, considered detail, and a yard that finally feels like the rest of the house.
The Worx Difference
An owner on every site. A team that actually builds.
Most landscape companies subcontract the hard parts. We don't. The horticulture, the masonry, the carpentry — all in-house, all under one roof. Chad designs every project and walks every site. The crew you meet on day one is the crew that finishes the punch list.
That's why our walls plumb, our steps don't settle, and our drainage actually drains.

What We Build
From a simple firepit to a finished outdoor room.
We design and build the entire envelope of your outdoor space — stone, structures, lighting, water, and the plants that hold it all together.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Patios, kitchens, fireplaces, pergolas, and pavilions designed as one continuous room — not a list of parts.
Hardscape & Masonry
Bluestone, granite, brick, and dry stack stone walls — set on properly compacted base by people who do this every day.
Plunge Pools & Spas
Compact custom plunge pools, cold plunges, and spa-grade soaking pools — integrated into the hardscape, finished in tile or honed stone, with automated covers and discreet equipment.
Outdoor Lighting
Path, step, and architectural lighting that extends the day. Designed for dimming, layered for mood, wired to last.
Drainage & Grading
Dry creek beds, French drains, regrading. Solving water problems before they become foundation problems.
Custom Carpentry
Pergolas, arbors, fences, and screening — built on-site from western red cedar and weather-grade fasteners.
In Their Words
“Chad listened first, then proposed something better than what we asked for — and the masonry is genuinely beautiful.” — Homeowner, Five Points
“They came back to fix one paver that lifted after a hard freeze. Two years later. No invoice.”
North Hills
“Our backyard finally feels like the part of the house we actually want to be in.”
Wake Forest
“The drainage work is invisible, which is exactly what we wanted. The patio above it is the showpiece.”
Cary
“Three projects with Worx now. Same crew, same standard. We trust them with the keys.”
